And now for something completely different….

This flash animation is just downright bizarre.

1) Stereotypical representations of “rednecks” and Native Americans, check.

2)  GPS is evil, check.

3)  Weird disappearance of Native Americans, check.

4) Spiritual possession of park rangers, check.

5) Is that a moon crater in the foreground?

Maybe my “Berkeley” hat is on too tight, but yeesh!

  1. Of course, being a Brit, I use these highly informative and accurate presentations to form my opinion of American culture and history.

I find them highly informative and accurate (*nods wisely*).

We have our own documentries for you Americans to study, such as ‘Only Fools and Horses’ and ‘Benny Hill’.

    Cheers Paul the Brit guy.

  2. I think you may have just hit upon an astronomical research question.. is the moon is actually made entirely of bedrock milling stations? NSF grant, here we come! (and we can get whoever made this great flash animation to do all of our project outreach)

  3. Yeah, it’s too bad there’s already that space archaeology article in the Journal of Social Archaeology. We’ll make it our own.

Paul – there’s been a Brits vs. ‘mericans battle on Facebook…highly entertaining.
